Agape and Eros – Haikus

Genevieve

I stole you from Alain
The hunter of the wilderness
And you taught the true French kiss
Car on est arrivee.

Shanchoy

Your soul guided me through Heathrow
In my delirium from my Greek jail torture release
I was reminded of your toes in bed
And how you called me Babes.

Nicole

When the gods made your image
They broke the mould
This is a cliché, but true
Never has there been a form of such beauty.

Katie

I can barely think of you now
After all that we’ve been through
But I remember your fear and frustration
At the wars that all of us have been through.

Jane

In Montreal, we made love
And through the open window
An elderly gentleman saw us fucking
I believe he paused in delight.

Shai-El

My gift from God in Israel
Sheltered by your long limbs
And fine torso, you called me scratched
And were free enough to detach
from me as easily as we became attached.

J.D.R.

What have you not taught me
The art of love-making, and the mask
Are you dead, or alive, immortal one
I will smudge with you for many lives.

Julia A.

I confessed to you that I had changed religions
After our amorous affair
When you could not stop singing Shania Twain
Sending me flying from the bed.

Sarah Shark.

I will never forget
How your voice sang to me in prison
Reminding me of your tears in the pizzaria
And holding you in the steamed car
in the valley by Glendon Campus.

Zoe G.

After a night of love-making
We sat on stools in your kitchen
Naked, eating breakfast
Then, made love on the floor where you squirted with ecstasy.

Zoe M.

What a pleasurable cherry!
A thief I was to steal you from another artist
And then you brought me to your parent’s home in Rosedale
Later, you came to mine, and my younger brother was floored
because you were his age.

Karla

What a grand clitoris!
You must get great sexual agitation
You were a fine lay, but
I don’t think there was any real grasping for togetherness, or
Ripping when we split. Maybe that is love.

Min-Hee

You were such a Buddhist
That all you could give me
was crab salad –
However, your moaning at the first
Conjugation, left a spot of blood
On my mattress.

Monica D

We rehearsed for an erotic film
Later I held your thigh around your garter strap in the Absinthe pub
We made love in the car
Listening to Leonard Cohen.
Then, we swang in the park.

Becca W.

My moon, my starlit sky
For you this Orpheus did play
And cast a spiritual kiss upon the stage
Whence in secret we did make our love.

Miss X

I don’t even know your name
But you seduced me right away
Within the asylum’s walls
And you became my Mary Magdelene.

Ana

O great scientist and politician.
You gave me head, in the morning
On your bed, when my band-mate
Whom you jilted, was unaware.

Brigitte

What great French thighs, did I spy
On the beaches of Cuba
And by the water, we left some blood
As we fucked by the waves.

Lena

Swede, peach mini-skirt, white silk chemise
Black crushed velvety jacket
Such great blonde hair and magenta eyes
We met in Eilat, and but for a condom
We could have had the greatest sex known to humanity,
in generations.

*** Some say this poet has had over 400  lovers in his lifetime, excluding
minor flirtations. To err on the side of humility, he has chosen only the few jewels
that remain as grand excitations in his memory.
